About John Hofmann
With experience spanning nearly 20 years, John Hofmann, of Wilmetter, IL, is an accomplished real estate finance expert. When he joined KeyBank in 2011, he started in the firm’s commercial mortgage group covering middle market real estate owners. Today, John Hofmann is a senior vice president with the company.
Mr. Hofmann attended Miami University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance. Shortly after he graduated, he completed a 12-week commercial banking course while working as an originator at LaSalle Bank. To further extend his qualifications, he earned an MBA in finance and management from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
He developed his leadership skills in several key positions at Nomura Credit & Capital and Carlton Advisory Services. As managing director at The Private Bank, Mr. Hofmann served on the bank’s disposition committee, which provided a quarterly strategy on REO sales.
In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and fishing. Additionally, he is an active member of multiple community organizations like the of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, and regularly participates in charity events.
